About Assoc. Prof. Candemir

Assoc. Prof. Candemir, MD, is a distinguished Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeon appointed Associate Professor in 2017, with extensive international experience from Japan (cleft repair), the USA (rhinoplasty), and Italy (breast reconstruction). He is a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS) and a recipient of the prestigious EURAPS Young Plastic Surgeon Award. Assoc. Prof. Candemir specializes in complex aesthetic procedures, including Rhinoplasty, Facial Aesthetic Surgery, and Post-Cancer Breast Reconstruction, ensuring world-class, evidence-based care.

During his specialty education, he studied at Showa University in Tokyo, Japan (2005–2006) with a research scholarship, where he worked closely with Prof. Yoshiaki Hosaka, focusing on cleft lip and palate surgeries as well as corrective procedures for congenital structural problems.

After completing his residency, he worked with Dr. Carlo Honrado at La Peer Plastic Surgery Clinic in Los Angeles, USA, where he focused on facial aesthetic surgery and rhinoplasty.

He successfully passed the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS) competence exam and was awarded the title of Fellow. He also received the Young Plastic Surgeon Award by the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS), granted to only five physicians internationally. Within this program, he studied with Prof. Fabio Santanelli in Rome, focusing on breast aesthetic surgery and post-cancer breast reconstruction.

In 2017, after completing numerous national and international scientific studies, he was appointed as Associate Professor in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery.
